Day 1. Eldoret
Depart by road after breakfast at your hotel in Nairobi. Navigate the Great Rift Valley escarpment with its picturesque landscape. Stop briefly in Nakuru before ascending the western escarpment of the rift valley to arrive at the expansive farmlands of Eldoret in time for lunch at your hotel. Proceed after lunch for the high altitude training centre in Iten Township. Check-in and get a briefing and orientation from your coach. All meals and overnight at the high altitude training centre.
The rest of the afternoon and evening at leisure.

Day 2. High Altitude Training Centre
There will be pre-dawn training session before breakfast. In the mid-morning visit a local school to relate with the locals before returning to the facility for lunch. Your coach will give another lecture on professional athletics to be followed by the last training for the day.All meals and overnight at the high altitude training centre.
Day 3. High Altitude Training Centre
There will be pre-dawn training session before breakfast. In the mid-morning, your coach will give another lecture on professional athletics. In the afternoon there will be more rigorous training, by now you are more tactful in your strides. You need to have a restful night tonight as tomorrow will be a competition day.All meals and overnight at the high altitude training centre.
Day 4. High Altitude Training Centre
There will be pre-dawn training session before breakfast. After breakfast, team groups will compete for a prize. In the evening a farewell dinner that will be a formal celebration of success with presentations by the facility manager, your coach and your safari director.

Day 5. Lake Nakuru National park
Depart after breakfast by road for Lake Nakuru at the floor of the Great Rift Valley. Check into the park and game drive to arrive in time for lunch at your lodge.
Afternoon game viewing drive to explore this birders’ paradise with over 400 bird species recorded. A big colony of the greater and lesser flamingo birds, cormorants and pelicans decorate the shoreline of Lake Nakuru. This park has a big population of both black and white rhino and was the first Rhino sanctuary in Kenya to be established in 1984. It also holds a sizeable population of the near endangered Rothschild’s giraffe.All meals and overnight at Sarova Lion Hill camp or similar.
Day 6. Maasai Mara Game Reserve.
Depart early in the morning crossing the western steep escarpment of the scenic African Rift valley to the undulating Maasai country to arrive at the Mara plains in time for lunch. Afternoon game viewing drive to explore this world famous park considered the most spectacular wildlife viewing area in Africa. Maasai Mara is the 8th wonder of the world as a result of the wildebeest migration; being the pathway of this annual event from mid-July to the end of October when over 2 million herbivores escorted by carnivores cross north from the Serengeti in Tanzania. This Mara has been highlighted through various media including ‘national geographic’, ‘big-cat diary’ among many and more recently by American ABC news ‘good morning America show’.All meals and overnight at Mara Eden Safari Camp or similar
Day 7. Maasai Mara Game Reserve.
Enjoy an adventurous full day in the Mara in search of the famed ‘big-five’; black rhino, lion, leopard, buffalo and elephant with 2 game viewing drives. Alternatively, you can choose to do a full day game viewing drive with picnic lunch and evening at leisure. Today is also providing you with an opportunity to do hot air balloon and/or visit the Maasai cultural village.All meals and overnight at Mara Eden Safari Camp or similar.
Day 8. Nairobi
Optional early morning game viewing drive. Depart after breakfast for Nairobi to arrive in time for lunch.
