“Run For A Clean Sport”- WILDERNESS BREAKS KENYA LTD (a key player in sport tourism) is in the forefront of the campaign against doping in athletics. The issue of doping is threatening to destroy this sport for which Kenya is globally renowned. As well as end promising careers of young Kenyan athletes. Not to mention the potential blow to sport tourism; a foreign exchange earner. Athletics is our national pride and heritage. We must safeguard it at all cost. We stand in solidarity with the athletes who run clean, and have joined their advocacy for a clean sport. To further this cause, we have organized a unique Run during the Standard Chartered Nairobi international Marathon on 28th October. We value and support the cause of the Standard Chartered Nairobi International Marathon. Participants in this activity will join us, athletics lovers and the public in running for a clean sport. We will come together to raise awareness among young athletes as well as unite in one strong voice against doping in the sport. This is also a great CSR/ team building activity for corporate teams. We support every effort to sensitize young athletes on the critical need to run clean. And hence secure their promising future going into the 2020 IAAF WU20 Athletics Championships and beyond. This is in conjunction with the Anti Doping Agency of Kenya(ADAK) and Athletics Kenya(AK).
The activity combines a 5K fun run with friends, family and colleagues, with an exciting game drive and lunch inside the Nairobi National Park. This is to give our valued participants a rare opportunity to also experience sport tourism. Nairobi is the only city in the world adjacent to a park where wild animals roam freely in natural surroundings. In a matter of minutes, participants in this amazing activity will be transported from the bustle of humanity, to the midst of wild animals.
The package price is only Ksh.3,000 per adult and Ksh.2, 000 per child (under 15 years) .This includes pick up from and drop off at a convenient location, transport to/from venue in our safari vehicles, Park entry fees, two hours game tracking drive in The Nairobi National Park, refreshments and picnic lunch inside the Park.
This package price does not include the registration fee for the Stanchart Nairobi International Marathon. Registration for the Marathon is ongoing and is strictly online. Go to nairobimarathon.com now and register in the 5K Family Fun Run (FFR) category of the Marathon. The fee for early registration is Ksh. 2,000. For late registration, the fee will go up to Ksh. 2, 500. We advise participants in our Run to register as early as possible to avoid a last minute rush. Payment information is given below.. Two weeks to the international event, Stanchart Bank will issue a top quality running t-shirt to every registered participant. To mark us out from the other runners, we will prominently print on the shirt, the theme “Run For A Clean Sport” together with our website.
The Run will start at 0900hrs from Railway Club and end at the same venue. Participants will be required to assemble for the Family Fun Run at 0700hrs. We will confirm a convenient pick up point in due course.

December 2018: Maasai Olympics
This is a unique biennial event where Maasai warriors set down spears and take part in sports competition. This event, initiated by BIG LIFE FOUNDATION, seeks to persuade Maasai warriors from hunting and killing lions for pride(as demanded by cultural tradition) and instead compete for sports awards. It is aimed at wildlife conservation. Visitors to Amboseli and Tsavo National Parks will have a rare opportunity to witness this spectacular event that draws visitors from around the world. This event is graced by “King” David Rudisha, himself a Maasai warrior and global sports personality. WILDERNESS BREAKS KENYA will handle all ground arrangements for our visitors to this event- from airport transfers, transport, full board accommodation at Ol Tukai Lodge and game drives. This will enable us to send you a quotation of the cost of your safari of choice. We advise our visitors traveling to witness this event, to confirm their travel dates at least six months to the date of the event. July 2020: IAAF World Under 20 Athletics Championships
to quote the great Nelson Mandela:
.… “sport has the power to change the world. It has the power to inspire, it has the power to unite people in a way that little else does. It speaks to the youth in a language they understand. Sport can create hope, where once there was only despair. It is more powerful than governments in breaking down racial barriers. It laughs in the face of all types of discrimination” ….
This event will take place in Nairobi, Kenya from 7th to 12th July 2020. It will be six days of explosive track and field action inside the iconic Safaricom Stadium on the outskirts of the capital city of Nairobi. This facility is an architectural masterpiece. Nairobi won the bid to host this event after hosting a hugely successful IAAF World Under 18 Athletics Championships in July 2017. The city of Nairobi is the only city in the world with an adjacent wildlife park. The Nairobi National Park measures 117 square kilometers and teems with game animals in their natural habitat. What also contributed to Kenya’s strong bid to host this event was her performance at the 2018 IAAF World Under 20 Athletics Championships. Kenyan juniors topped the world at this event(please refer to the medals table below courtesy of the IAAF)
